Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 71:1-24. Verse 6, do I regard life in the womb as inseparable from the faith, or separable? If inseparable, how can I and my church do more to save unborn babies?
Genesis 38:1-30. Tamar the deceiver, reckoned an ancestor of Jesus (Matthew 1:3). For someone in my church who has behaved badly, are they dealt with by condemnation, restoration, or indifference?
Hebrews 10:5-18. Verses 12 and 13, how am I benefited today by Jesus sitting at God’s right hand? What enemies of mine are under his feet?
Matthew 10:34-42. Verse 42, how can I specifically give Christ’s little ones a cup of water today?
