Bible Sunday 2/15: Broken Cisterns

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 113:1-9. Verse 6, God humbles himself to oversee the whole earth. What does this mean for me today, as both a comfort and a caution?

Jeremiah 2:1-37. Verse 13, how am I confronted with a choice today between the living waters that God provides and the broken, empty cisterns of manmade solutions?

Romans 7:1-12. Verses 4 and 5, what kind of fruit do I want to produce today, that which glorifies God through Jesus Christ crucified and risen, or that which perpetuates the cycle of sin and death?

Matthew 10:24-31. Verse 27, what is Jesus really asking of me today when he says I should speak of him in the daylight and preach him from the housetops?
