Bible Monday 4/13: Protected

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 105:1-45. Verse 15, touch not my anointed ones. Living today under this protective command of God, what threats, wrongs, or troubles am I shielded from? What status comes from being his anointed?

Ezekiel 2:1-10. The prophet is told by God to confront the disobedient Israelites. When has God given me an unwelcome job to do, as though among thorns and scorpions (verse 6)? What did I learn?

I Peter 2:11-25. Verses 15-19, what are my do’s and don’ts today in following Jesus’ example as a servant of God?

John 2:13-25. Now that the Jerusalem temple is no more and Jesus’ true temple is my own body, my whole person, what standard of purity and holiness must I live up to, day by day?
