Bible Friday 5/15: He Gave All

Studying this morning's readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 32:1-11. Verse 5, why does God want me to confess my sins? Who benefits when I do so, or suffers when I don’t?

Ezekiel 36:1-38. Verses 25-29, what are the stony places in my heart that I can ask God to replace today with a heart of flesh instead? How would my change of heart be noticeable to others?

I Corinthians 12:12-31. Why is God more pleased when I identify and conduct myself as a member of the body of Christ, not as a “solo Christian”? Action point for today?

John 10:7-21. How can I companion more closely today with Jesus the Good Shepherd? What does it mean that he is the only door by which I can enter into life? What’s involved in the abundant life he promises?
