Bible Saturday 6/20: Cast Out Satan

Studying this morning's readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 119:89-128. Verses 104, 113, 128, when God commands us to hate evil and lies, by what attitudes and actions shall I fulfill that today?

I Samuel 25:1-44. Wise Abigail, wife of foolish Nabal, is used by God to help David restrain his anger; she is soon widowed and he marries her. For what difficult problem in humans relations do I need God’s guidance today?

Acts 9:26-31. Barnabas sponsors the newly converted and still unproven Paul with the apostles at Jerusalem. What qualities of Barnabas shall I ask God to endow in me, that I may spread the faith and grow the church?

Mark 3:22-30. Where in my everyday life must I obey Jesus and bind the strong man, Satan? To do this, in what specific ways must I learn from Jesus and be aided by him?
