The Centennial Institute expects hundreds of activists from a dozen states to attend the weekend event at the Denver Marriott South, July 9-11. Other keynote speakers include radio host Dennis Prager at the Saturday dinner (individual ticket $75), along with columnist Michelle Malkin at the Saturday luncheon ($50), and Fox News commentator Dick Morris at the closing brunch on Sunday ($50).
The program lineup also features Arthur Brooks, president of AEI; Lt. Gen. Jerry Boykin; Mary Katharine Ham of the Weekly Standard; investment guru Foster Friess; former presidential candidate Tom Tancredo; author and black conservative Joseph C. Phillips; John Eastman of the Claremont Institute;and national security expert Frank Gaffney.
Summit participants will debate and vote on policy resolutions along with Gaffney's newly released Peace Through Strength Platform and a vision statement called the Lone Tree Declaration. A Sunday morning chapel service will be led by renowned Christian apologist Lee Strobel.
Colorado Christian University, where Bill Armstrong is president, established the Centennial Institute as a nonpartisan think tank in 2009. "Centennial's mission to foster clear thinking about self-government is reflected in the principled, practical approach of this conference," Armstrong said. "We plan to host the Western Conservative Summit annually from now on."
