Bible Thursday 11/24: Leprous No More

Psalm 147:1-20. How many different things does the Psalmist enumerate here that we can thank God for? What specific example of each one have I experienced in my life?

Isaiah 29:1-24. By what resolutions and disciplines can I match today's thankful words with a truly thankful heart and thankful life when this holiday has come and gone -- a week from now, a month from now (verse 13)?

Deuteronomy 26:1-11. While now our offering to God is usually money, not actual "first fruits," what deeper spiritual meaning should that ancient custom have in my own devotions today?

Luke 17:11-19. What the one cleansed leper gave that the others didn't is obvious: gratitude to Jesus. But in so doing, what did he also gain that the others didn't?

These are some of the questions I asked myself in studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide. Click and see what you think.  Where is your self-examination leading today?
