Bible Sunday 11/27: Hiding Place

Psalm 111:1-10. Verse 2 (KJV) suggests we ought to seek out evidences of God at work, not merely wait to stumble over them. How many "God spots" can I notice today? Three? Five? Ten?

Isaiah 32:1-20. From what ill wind do I need Jesus as my hiding place (verse 2)? If he's my river in the desert, what thirst do I need quenched? What stain do I need washed off?

Revelation 6:1-8. If this were being written about our world in 2016, what are the four most terrifying "horses" it might describe? Am I calm even so, certain that the Lamb reigns (verse 1)?

Luke 22:24-30. Am I individually, or is my church collectively, distracted from Christ by worrying who shall be greatest? What opportunities to serve as He did, is this costing us?

These are some of the questions I asked myself in studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide. Click and see what you think.  Where is your self-examination leading today?
