Bible Sunday 11/6: Godly Patience

Psalm 34:1-22. What am I troubled or scared about right now, that I wish God would surround with his angels (verse 7)? Have I asked him to send them?

Isaiah 11:1-16. How can I more fully invite all the abilities and activities of Messiah, described in the first ten verses here, into the momentous week Americans are now entering?

James 5;1-12. If I lived in the godly patience of verses 7-10, what would others notice about me? How might it benefit them?

Luke 18:35-43. Why did this blind man -- unable to read, impoverished, marginalized -- think "the Son of David" could make him see? What's the lesson here for me?

These are some of the questions I asked myself in studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide. Click and see what you think.  Where is your self-examination leading today?
