Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalm 51:1-19. What is not entirely clean in my heart as God sees it (verse 10, KJV)? Ties into verses 2, 7, 17.
Genesis 27:1-46. Related to the above: What is the worst lie or deception I have ever committed? How did God use that bad deed for eventual good?
Hebrews 12:3-11. Am I weary and faint in any part of my Christian walk (verse 3, KJV)? Have I brought this to Jesus as directed here?
Matthew 8:18-22. When has Christ presented me, even in a small way, with a stark choice like the ones given here? How did it work out?
