Bible Saturday 10/21: Members

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 110:1-7. Verse 1 is quoted by Jesus about himself. Verse 4 is quoted by the writer of Hebrews regarding Jesus. How can I see more plainly the Old Testament's myriad references to Christ?

II Chronicles 1:1-17. When have I prayed a humble, unselfish prayer like Solomon's and had it answered? When has God said no to a grasping or short-sighted prayer of mine?

Ephesians 4:25-32. Verse 26, how has God dealt with me regarding anger or a short temper? What lessons have I still to learn about this? Prayer point?

Luke 12:8-12. Verse 10, revering the Holy Spirit's sanctity. Verse 12, accessing the Holy Spirit's help. Seeing the emphasis Jesus puts on this, what more can I be doing to obey?
