Bible Thursday 11/9: Even You

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 71:1-24. Verses 17-18, as years pass and birthdays mount up, am I unduly age-conscious, or do I live with grateful acceptance that all my years belong to God for his glory?

II Chronicles 20:1-37. Verse 17 KJV, when have I relied on God this way -- "set, stand, see" -- and been rewarded? Application to a current challenge I am facing?

I Thessalonians 2:13-20. Verse 19, who is a special source of joy to me as they grow in Christ? Have I told them so? How can I support or encourage them today?

Luke 15:8-10. Is the diligent sweeping and seeking for lost souls described here, staying at it, overlooking no one, part of my Christian walk? Action point for today?
