Bible Wednesday 3/15: Sound Doctrine

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 119:73-96. If I picture God's hands (verse 73) actually making my body and shaping my life path, how does my outlook brighten?

Proverbs 24:1-34. When have I reacted uncharitably to someone's misfortune (verse 17)? What's the spiritual remedy?

Titus 2:1-15. How does sound doctrine (verses 1, 10) bring about the ideal human roles and relationships described here? How did our society lose this? What is my church doing about it?

Matthew 17:1-13. What difference will I allow the words and works of Moses, Elijah, Jesus, and Peter to make in my interactions with others today?
