Bible Sunday 3/12: Honor Roll

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 8:1-9. Who do I know that is down, discouraged, or struggling right now, that needs the lifeline of knowing himself crowned by God in Christ as depicted in verses 4-6?

Proverbs 21:1-31. What's the name of someone in authority that I do not support politically, but for whom I can pray God's guidance as promised in verse 1?

Romans 16:1-16. If I were to list an honor roll of the faithful from among persons close to me, who would be on it? What spiritual token of love (in lieu of a kiss, verse 16) would I give them?

Matthew 16:13-20. What must I see and do, starting today, to better ground my idea of the church and its ministers on Jesus' words in verses 18-19?
