Bible Monday 4/24: Wicked Times

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 2:1-12. What looming worldly threat have I been worrying about, all the while God laughs at it (verse 4) and prepares to crush it (verse 9)?  Action point for today?

Exodus 1:1-22. Was Pharaoh's regime of infanticide (verse 15 and after) really much different from America's abortion regime today?  What more can my church do to protect unborn children?

I Peter 3:1-12. Related: In these wicked times, what more can my church do to help men and women alike, husbands and wives alike, live up to God's intention for us as joint heirs of grace (verse 7)?

John 1:35-51. No greater deed can we do than to bring someone to Jesus, as Andrew and Philip do here (and again at John 12:20). For whom can I do likewise this day or very soon?
