Bible Sunday 4/30: Serpent & Lion

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 150:1-6. As these musical instruments suggest orchestrated praise for God, what overlooked part of myself or of my day can I newly attune to praising him?

Exodus 7:1-25. In modern life, what are some ways the world claims its answers are as good or better than God's answers (verses 10-12)? How does God have the last word?

I Peter 5:1-14. Related: With what roars or whispers is Satan trying to invade my life this very day (verses 8-10)? What shall be my prayer of defense?

John 4:46-54. When has my prayer met with God's caution light, as if to say not so fast, check your motives (verse 48)? How did it turn out? What did I learn?
