Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalm 51:1-19. If what God wants most from me is a broken and contrite heart (verse 17, KJV), what shall I do to present him that today?
Zechariah 10:1-12. Where is there a drought in me that needs God's rainfall (verse 1)? Where is there a raging sea that I need God to calm (verse 11)?
John 12:20-41. What situation in my life this day presents the choice between walking in the light of Jesus or walking in darkness (verses 35-36)?
Matthew 21:12-27. What more could my church be doing to serve as a house of prayer in the fullest biblical sense (verse 13)?
