Bible Wednesday 6/28: Legalists

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 119:121-144. Verse 130, KJV, in what area of my life right now do I most need light? From what specific word of God can I obtain it?

Leviticus 23:1-44. As these annual feasts gave way to the Christian liturgical year, which today is widely disregarded, what cycle and rhythm of time now guides our faith life? Does  it matter?

Acts 7:37-50. Verses 39-41, how does the allure of the golden calf get at Christians and their leaders today? What is my church doing about it? Action point?

Mark 3:1-12. Verse 5, how does hard-hearted religion oppose the love and compassion of Jesus in our times? Am I susceptible to it? Prayer point?
