Bible Friday 8/4: Not Pass Away

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 73:1-28. Verse 22, when have I felt this is exactly how I must look to God? What did he do about it? What did I learn that is applicable this very day?

Numbers 33:1-56. Realizing that God had a purpose for each of these many waypoints, shall review my own houses, jobs, churches, and other life events to see his hand in them all?

Acts 19:11-22. Verse 19, though the burning of books jars us, why was it on this occasion an act to the glory of God? What does that jar we experience, reveal about modern ideas of truth?

Mark 13:24-31. Verse 31, if Jesus' words will outlast heaven and earth, how can I better weave them into my days and doings? What are some sayings of his to keep in mind the next few hours?
