Bible Tuesday 8/8: Courage

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 78:1-72. Verse 2 KJV, if a parable is a specific story subtly teaching a general truth, what does the Exodus story teach about my walk with God past, present, and future?

Joshua 1:1-18. Related question: Courage, commanded four times here, is obviously needed for a military invasion, but how is it needed in my Christian life right now?

II Peter 2:12-22. Verse 19, how is a false version of liberty, amounting to bondage, promoted in present-day secular and religious situations? What is my church doing about it? Action point?

Mark 9:14-29. Verse 24, when have I prayed this way, tangled between belief and unbelief? How did it turn out? What did I learn?
