Bible Monday 9/18: Nailed

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 64:1-10. How can I better defend myself against spiritual attack? What specific form might the enemy’s sword, arrows, and snares take today (verses 3-5 KJV)?

Judges 18:1-31. How is today’s America under this kind of jungle law, the rule of the strongest? What’s our version of the idols Micah and the Danites fought over?

Colossians 2:11-23. Verse 14, what are some points of guilt, formerly hanging over me, that the cross cleared away? How shall I show my gratitude today?

Luke 6:12-19. If Jesus the Son of God needed to pray for hours, why do I measure my prayer in minutes? Action point?
