Bible Saturday 9/16: Hope of Glory

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 55:1-23. Verse 17, what can I do to make my prayer life more regular, frequent, and fervent as this verse exemplifies?

Judges 16:1-31. The Samson story isn''t just about a man of great powers and great flaws, the common view. It's about the true God defeating a false one (verses 24 and 28). How can I apply this spiritual perspective to current headlines?

Colossians 1:19-29. Verse 27 KJV, "Christ in you, the hope of glory." By what unspoken signs will others notice this about me today? In what simple terms can I explain it to an inquirer?

Luke 5:33-39. Verses 36-38, how do the patched coat and the wine bottles describe my not-yet-completed renewal as a follower of Jesus? Action point for today?
