Bible Saturday 10/13: Paul Reborn

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 104:1-35. Verse 23, how does my daily work fit with God’s created order and his own ongoing work as described in this psalm? Is my work under Adam’s curse or the divine image?

Ezra 10:1-44. Jews given a choice between God’s favor and their heathen wives. When have I had to make a wrenching choice for Him?

Galatians 1:11-24. A sketch of how Saul became Paul. If I set myself to become more like Paul, what changes would people begin to notice about me?

Luke 7:36-50. Is my attitude toward a flagrant sinner who is trying to make a new start, more that of the Pharisee or that of Jesus?
