Bible Friday 11/9: Fire

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 73:1-28. Verse 24 KJV, on what matter do I most need God’s counsel right now? How will I recognize it when it comes? How can I tune in better?

Isaiah 14:1-32. Verses 12-17, one of the Bible’s clearest statements on Satan’s mentality and destiny. Does my church take Satan seriously enough? Do I?

I Thessalonians 3:1-13. Verse 2 KJV, outside my family, who is my closest fellow laborer in the gospel of Christ? How can we make our relationship more beneficial for the kingdom?

Luke 12:49-59. How do the fire and division Jesus describes, relate to the turmoil in America right now? How do they relate to my church’s mission offering Christ’s love? My role?
