Bible Tuesday 11/6: Heard It Twice

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 62:1-11. On election day, how does this psalm warn me against placing too many of my hopes and fears in politics?

Isaiah 11:1-16. Messiah foretold. Verses 4, 6, and 9, does my church teach that Jesus came so human relationships would look more like this? What’s my role as one believer, one citizen?

I Thessalonians 1:1-10. Verse 9, what idols have I thrown down in order to serve God? What specific inroads of idolatry must I guard against today?

Luke 12:1-12. How can I become both more direct and more winsome in witnessing for Jesus Christ? Prayer point? Action point?
