Bible Sunday 12/9: To Serve or Rule?

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 114:1-8. Verse 1 KJV, how is it that I as a believer and my neighbor who is an unbeliever, even when both using English, in many ways speak different languages? Implications for today?

Isaiah 44:1-28. In what way do I sometimes try to remake God in my image, forgetting I am made in his?

Revelation 12:1-17. Verses 7-11, what battle do I need the Archangel Michael to fight for me today? How can I find victory through the blood of the Lamb?

Luke 22:24-30. How does the selfish attitude of “who is greatest” tend to get at me? What practical opportunity do I have today to act as “he that serves”?
