Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 18:1-50. Verse 35, how does God in being gentle make me great? What do those two words mean in practical terms for my life situation here and now?
Isaiah 41:1-29. Verses 14, 24, 29 KJV, “thou worm Jacob.” Does this fit what I see, honestly looking in my heart or in the mirror? What explains God loving me anyway?
Revelation 9:13-21. If this comes today, am I ready?
Luke 21:25-38. If this comes today, am I ready? Verse 33, what are some sayings of Jesus I can hang onto if all else seems to be collapsing?
