Bible Saturday 12/29: New Jerusalem

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 18:1-50. Verse 19 KJV, why on earth would God delight in me? Since he does, how am I to respond?

Isaiah 64:1-12. Verses 4-8, human inadequacy, clay and potter. What light does this shed on my hopes and plans for the coming year?

Revelation 21:9-27. Verse 22, no temple. If my whole approach to “church” were simplified down to “closer to God, closer to Jesus,” how might the results differ?

Matthew 24:45-51. Same question from a different angle. What makes me so sure I am the faithful servant and not the unfaithful one in this parable?
