Bible Saturday 3/3: Remnant

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 23:1-6. Verse 4, what is my worst fear right now? What circumstance would be my valley of shadow? In what form do I pray for the comfort of God's rod and staff?

Jeremiah 31:1-40. Light and hope suddenly flood into this dark book. Verses 31-34, how fully is God's new covenant realized in me? What further renewal do I need from him right now?

Romans 11:1-10. With America increasingly secular, Christians tragically divided, who are today's faithful remnant? Am I one of them? What does God want his remnant to do?

Matthew 14:22-36. In my life what's been the closest thing I've ever seen to Jesus walking on the water and inviting to walk with him? What did I learn? Present application?
