Bible Friday 2/16: Prince of Devils

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 35:1-28. Verses 4, 7, 12, 17, what sort of enemies, by what means of attack, seek to kill not just my body but my soul? Am I at risk? What's my defense?

Jeremiah 16:1-21. Verse 20, what are my false gods? How did they get a foothold? What must I do?

Romans 5:12-21. The way I approach daily life, how much am I like Adam and Eve? Am I aware of how God's grace offsets that? What evidence of his grace would a non-believer see in me?

Matthew 12:22-30. Do I take the evil one, Satan, as seriously as Jesus did? Do I shelter myself consistently within Jesus' victory over him? Action point?
