Bible Sunday 4/8: The Doubter

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 146:1-10. Verse 3, where do Christians in America today fail to heed this warning?  What are the consequences? What is my church doing about it?

Ezekiel 8:1-18. Verse 12, secret imaginations in the dark. How does this form of sin and idolatry attack me? What is God’s antidote?

I Corinthians 10:1-13. Related question, doesn’t this describe some Christians’ folly in squandering the blessings of Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection? Verse 13, what is God teaching me through temptation right now?

John 20:24-31. Verse 31, John’s intent is to inform my belief and change my life. How can I sustain the momentum of Easter to accelerate such change as I study the Bible this week?
