Bible Thursday 4/19: Assets

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 37:1-40. Verse 16, if God sees our assets as moral and spiritual, not material and financial, who is the richest person I know? Measured this way, am I getting wealthier?

Ezekiel 19:1-14. If this pattern of rise and fall is equally applicable to modern America as to ancient Israel,  how should Christians regard our country's future and our citizenship duties?

I Corinthians 6:1-11. Verses 9-11, is my church more in the live-and-let-live business, the exclusion business, or the rebirth business? As a member, which of these is my style?

John 4:27-38. Verse 35, related question, evaluating his followers' productivity, does Jesus see me as a right-now harvest worker or a not-yet type? Action point for the rest of April?
