Bible Monday 5/7: Valley

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 80:1-19. Verses 3, 7, 19, if God actually did this today, made his face shine on me, how would I know? What would that experience be like? How would my day be different?

Ezekiel 37:1-28. Famous valley of dry bones. Any relevance to the condition of the church today, of my own church, or of my own heart? What would verse 10, the army rising up, look like now?

Ephesians 2:1-10. What are the similarities and differences of this passage to Ezekiel 37? Verse 10, what specific good works has God ordained for me to do by faith in Jesus?

John 14:15-24. What benefit have I received from this Comforter whom Jesus promised to send? What would I hope for in addition? What's standing in the way?
