Bible Thursday 5/3: On Watch

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 70:1-5. What situation or need do I wish God would hurry up about? Am I praying with fear and doubt or trust and expectation?

Ezekiel 33:1-33. Verse 7, in what specific way can I be a watchman for the people of God? What should I watch for, good and bad? How should I give a warning, and to whom?

I Corinthians 16:!-12. Verse 9, has God opened a particular door for my increased service to him? What am I doing about it? What adversaries must I face? First step?

John 8:48-59. Verse 51 KJV, about our deliverance from death, what does Jesus mean, and what does he not mean? What saying of his must we keep? Am I clear and at peace about this?
