Bible Tuesday 6/5: What is Truth?

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 48:1-14. Verse 2, Zion as joy of the whole earth. As headlines focus on Christians and our adversaries, how can I reframe on Christians and our mission field, namely everyone?

I Samuel 17:1-58. What Goliath do I need God's help in striking down today? How does he taunt me with fear? What's my armor? What are my weapons?

Acts 5:22-33. Related, Peter serving the risen Jesus isn't scared by threats, arrest, prison. How can resurrection power help me slay my Goliath today?

John 18:28 - 19:4. Verses 37 and 38, how stands the contest between Jesus' view of truth and Pilate's view, in our world today? In which scale do I, my friends, and my church put our weight?
