Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 56:1-13. KJV verse 8, God's pity. Verse 13, God's deliverance. What caused my bitterest tears, tenderly noticed by God? What form has his compensation taken, or could it take?
I Kings 17:1-24. Elijah's miracles for the widow. When have I seen God's hand overrule lack or illness? Present application?
Acts 26:12-23. Verses 18 and 23, if I took these for a personal mission statement, to implement wisely & not impulsively, what changes would it make in my way of life? First step?
Mark 8:1-10. Disciples seem to have learned nothing from Jesus feeding the 5,000 in Mark 6:34. When has the Lord found me to be a woefully slow learner?
