Bible Tuesday 7/10: His Cadre

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 6:1-9. Verse 1 KJV, what have I done recently to arouse God's anger or displeasure? How shall I now seek his mercy? What's the lesson here?

II Samuel 21:1-22. Unfinished business for David: Gibeon's grievance, Saul's bones, Goliath's heirs. Why does this matter to God? Am I conscientious in that way?

Acts 18:1-11. Verse 10, Jesus knows the roll call of his believers better than we do. How can his omniscience help me and my church do ministry?

Mark 3:31-35. How does Jesus want me to balance my natural family affections with my love for brothers and sisters in Christ? Am I off center one way or the other? Action point?
