Bible Monday 9/24: Infirmities

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 79:1-13. Verse 11, trusting God with needs distant from me, who’s in prison that I can pray for today? Who’s facing death that I can pray for today?

Job 31:1-40. Verse 33, when have I tried to hide from God as Adam and Eve did? How did it turn out? Present application?

II Corinthians 11:22-33. Verses 29-31 KJV, what weaknesses and infirmities can I confess today, so as to be honest with God and grateful for his mercy to me?

Luke 4:23-30. Jesus reminds the Jews that God cares about the Gentiles and always has. What’s the lesson for my relationships and way of life? What’s the lesson for my church?
