Bible Tuesday 10/2: Sacrificial Love

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 99:1-9. Verse 8 KJV, what “inventions” of human pride, disobedience, unbelief, is God warning me about here? Action point for today?

Job 39:1-30. God says all creatures are just that, created by him and in his hand. Darwin says they’re all the random result of blind chance. Which do I believe? Why does it matter?

I John 3:10-23. Verses 16-18, how can I put in practice the sacrificial love of Jesus for someone in my life who has a need today?

Luke 6:1-5. In the way I and my family and my church keep the sabbath, what is Jesus pleased with? What is he not pleased with? Action point for the week ahead?
