Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 18:1-50. Verses 4-19, if God came storming to my rescue this very day, what would it look like? What would it require of me? Am I ready for this to happen?
Genesis 17:1-27. Verse 5, what has God done in me that went so deep it was worthy of a name change?
Romans 4:13-25. Verse 20 KJV, what are some promises of God so tremendous that I might find them staggering? Shall I believe or doubt them?
John 8:48-59. Verse 50, how could Abraham have seen Jesus, and why did he rejoice? How can this encourage and enliven my faith walk?
