Bible Monday 10/14: School of Prayer

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 4:1-8. Verse 8, what’s the theology behind God granting us peaceful sleep and adequate rest? How can this benefit me or someone I know?

I Chronicles 19:1-19. David retaliates for the humiliation of his envoys. What opportunity do I have today to love my enemies and return blessing for cursing?

Ephesians 2:11-22. Verses 20-22 KJV, all Christ’s people as one great building, a holy temple fitly framed. Honestly appraising ourselves, how does my church measure up, strengths and weaknesses? My role?

Luke 11:1-13. How can I orient my thoughts and actions more fully to the Lord’s Prayer, today and tomorrow and the next day?
