Bible Monday 11/18: Assets

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 89:1-52. Verse 6, what person, power, or possession am I tempted to regard as godlike in importance, comparable to God himself? Prayer point for today?

II Chronicles 25:1-28. Judah’s king ignores God’s warning, is plundered, then murdered. Why does God allow bad rulers? What are the righteous to do? My role?

Revelation 2:18-29. Jesus admonishes a fourth underperforming church. Verse 29, how can my church’s pastors and members listen better to what the Spirit is telling us? My role?

Luke 18:18-23. Verse 22, what does my heavenly treasure consist of? Has it increased this year? What earthly priorities am I allowing to get in its way?
