Bible Wednesday 2/20: Schizo

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 109:1-31. Verse 4, give myself to prayer. Today how can my prayers be higher in reverence, deeper in honesty, wider in unselfishness?

Nahum 1:1-15. Verses 1 and 2, Nineveh, the ungodly community. Verse 15, Judah, the godly community. Looking at the city where I live, does God see about half-and-half? Or what proportion?

Romans 7:13-25. When have I seen Jesus rescue someone from the inward struggle of two selves described here?

Matthew 13:10-17. Verse 15, exactly how does this play out in today’s amoral, atheistic culture? Why would people not want to be healed? What is my church doing about it?
