Bible Friday 3/1: The Remnant

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 130:1-8. Verse 6, what nighttime of the soul am I having to endure right now? What would it look like for God to bring the morning?

Proverbs 7:1-27. Verses 22 and 23, when have I knowingly done a great wrong and paid dearly for it? How did God show up? What did I learn?

Romans 11:1-10. Verses 3-5, what is required of me to be counted among the remnant of God’s faithful in these wicked times?

Matthew 14:22-33. Verse 30, when has fear or doubt or self-absorption disrupted a time when Jesus was drawing me closer? How did God show up? What did I learn?
