Bible Sunday 3/10: What a Father

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 103:1-22. Verse 14, if God knows I am dust and loves me anyway, how does that inform my attitude today toward him and toward myself?

Proverbs 16:1-33. Verse 31, grey hair, then white. Do I deal with getting older in a way that pleases my Father or that disappoints him?

Romans 14:14-23. Verse 19 KJV, edify one another. Whom can I build up today through the love and truth of Christ? Specifically with what tools, methods, materials, blueprints?

Matthew 4:1-11. Verses 4, 7, 10, Jesus repels Satan with Scripture. Which of these texts is particularly valuable to me right now?
