Bible Tuesday 3/26: Abba

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 78:1-72. Verses 19 and 41, have I been hanging onto some thought or expectation that amounts to limiting God?

Ecclesiastes 1:1-18. Verse 13 asserts life is empty, pointless, and God is to blame. What would I say to a young person who had decided this is so?

Galatians 3:27-4:7. Verse 6, how would today be different if I could keep myself constantly at a level of “Abba” intimacy with God?

Matthew 20:1-16. Even if I regard this as unworkable economics, what if I applied it in human relationships? How might it bring me and others nearer the kingdom of heaven?
