Bible Wednesday 3/13: Got it Backwards?

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 119:49-72. Verse 54 KJV, house of my pilgrimage. How will this day be different if I approach it as a godly pilgrim, not a worldly settler?

Proverbs 19:1-29. Verse 15, does my outward busy-ness sometimes mask spiritual laziness? Action point for today?

Romans 15:14-21. Paul seeks out the unmet need. Looking about me in this community, this year, where can I stand in the gap for the glory of God?

Matthew 16:24-28. Putting Jesus first and myself last. In the Lord’s eyes right now, am I doing this pretty well, or not bad, or rather poorly? One step to take?
