Bible Monday 4/15: Satan Vanquished

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 51:1-19. Verse 17, about what do I feel contrite at heart? Is this pleasing or not to Jesus, who died and rose for the forgiveness of all my sins?

Zechariah 10:1-12.  Verse 9, God remembered in the far countries. As a comfortable Christian in America, which of the persecuted believers around the world shall I specially pray for this week?

John 12:20-41. Verse 31, in what way will Satan, prince of this world, and Jesus, Prince of Peace, contest for my attention today? Is Christ’s final victory over him at the cross a strong point of my faith?

Matthew 21:12-27. Verse 21, what mountain do I want to see God move in answer to my prayers today?
