Bible Sunday 6/23: Be Still

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 46:1-11. Verse 10, to trust God more fully today, to behold him, what is it within me that I must command to “Be still”?

Leviticus 13:1-59. Disease control among the Israelites, priests as health officers. In America today, including among Christians, what is the worst form of moral or spiritual contagion? My response?

I Corinthians 16:13-24. Verse 19, Aquila and Priscilla’s house church. What is my church doing about replicating itself in the community, planting new congregations? Pro’s and cons? My role?

Mark 1:1-11. Verses 8 and 10, in my Christian life, am I drawing nearer the Holy Spirit as well as the Father and the Son? Why does it matter?
