Bible Thursday 6/27: The Great Physician

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 105:1-45. Verse 15 KJV, against what threat or foe would I have God command on my behalf today, “Don’t touch my anointed, don’t harm my people”?

Leviticus 17:1-16. Verse 7, what attitude or practice that I might spiritually entertain would God regard as sacrificing to devils? What’s my protection against such entrapment?

Acts 4:1-12. Verse 12, in today’s worldviews that ignore or deny Christ, what do they say salvation consists of, and what brings it about? How do these counterfeits attempt to ensnare me?

Mark 1:29-34. Are Jesus’ healing works a larger thing or a lesser thing for me, my family, and my church? If I could bring him to one sickroom or house of suffering today, what would it be?
